The following are step-by-step instructions for configuring your e-mail in Outlook 97 for Windows for the Access US network. If you have any questions or difficulties, please feel free to contact Technical Support.

 

setup procedure
  1. Launch Outlook 97.



  2. Click Tools at the top.
    Next choose Services from the drop down box.



  3. If the item labeled Internet E-Mail is already present skip to step 5.
    Otherwise click the button below labeled Add.



  4. Next select the item in the white box labeled Internet E-Mail.
    Click OK at the bottom.



  5. In the first blank box enter in mail.accessus.net.
    In the box labeled Name: enter in the name you would like displayed when you send an email to someone.
    In the field labeled E-mail Address: enter in your full e-mail address.



  6. Click on the tab labeled Servers. In the field labeled Outgoing Mail (SMTP): enter mail.accessus.net.
    In the field labeled Incoming Mail (POP3): enter mail.accessus.net.
    Make sure there is a solid dot in front of the line Logon using:.
    In the field labeled Account Name: enter in your full e-mail address.
    In the field labeled Password: enter in your password.
    Finally click Ok on all open remaining windows open. Close Outlook 97 and then reopen it. You should now be able to send and receive e-mail.
