After a dispatch has been requested, the CLEC will
contact Access US with a commit date and window. An Access US technician
will contact you once the dispatch commit time has been received. Please
review the types of dispatches below, to understand the dispatch process.
inside wiring
An inside wiring technician will be dispatched if
the problem is isolated between the MPOE (telephone box) and your router. The technician
will check the installed wall jack, all internal DSL wiring and the
MPOE screw and punch downs. If there are no problems found with the
inside wiring, the technician will sync the router up to the MPOE
to check connectivity to the DSLAM. If the router syncs up at the
MPOE, there is still a problem with the inside wiring and repairs
will be made. If the router does not sync up at the MPOE, the CLEC
will be contacted to run remote tests with the technician on site.
If the problem cannot be resolved with this dispatch and all inside
wiring has been confirmed trouble free, an ILEC dispatch will be requested.
ALL internal wiring dispatches are billable to the customer at $175.
ILEC
An ILEC technician will be dispatched if a physical error
has been found with any part of the line from the MPOE to the CO.
The ILEC will not touch any inside wiring, but will need access to
the MPOE to make sure their connection is solid from the CO to the
MPOE. The ILEC technician will run various tests to isolate the problem.
The ILEC will repair any physical problem found on the line. For IDSL,
the ILEC technician will check the integrity of the BRI card or ADTRANS
and repair or replace as needed. If the ILEC technician cannot isolate
a problem with the line, testing with the CLEC is required. If the
problem cannot be resolved with this dispatch, a Vendor Meet will
be requested.
vendor meet
If the problem has not been resolved after both an
inside wiring and CLEC dispatch, both an inside wiring and ILEC technician
will be dispatched to the MPOE. They will run multiple tests to isolate
and resolve the problem.
Most problems are resolved by the CLEC on the first dispatch. If
the problem cannot be resolved after the third dispatch, Access US
will contact you to talk about having a new line provisioned.
