Outlook Express Filters
setup procedure
- Open up Outlook Express. At the top, click on Tools then Message Rules then Mail as shown below.

- Under 1. Select the Conditions for your rule: check the box labeled Where the subject line contains specific words. Next look under 2. Select the Actions for your rule: and check Delete it. (If you wish to move the messages to a SPAM folder, select Move it to the specified folder).
Under 3. Rule Description click on contains specific words
- Beneath Type specific words or a phrase type in the spam type you wish to control ([BULK-L], [BULK-M], [BULK-H], etc).
In this example we will filter out the highly-likely spam, [BULK-H]
Click on the Add button.
Click on the OK button.
- You should now see the rule you just created.
If you wish to disable a rule, simply uncheck the box next to the rule.
Click on the OK button.
Now all messages that arrive in your inbox, that have [BULK-H] in the subject, will be deleted.
